How a project runs

Six steps from the first visit to the first year

  1. 01

    Step 1: Site visit

We walk the property, take measurements and photographs, and listen to how you use the garden.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Survey and plan

We survey the site and draw the plan, with sections, materials and a planting schedule.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Proposal and approvals

You receive a written build price from the drawing, and we prepare any permit or association papers.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Build

One site lead runs the crews in the order the plan sets, from drainage and stone to carpentry.

  5. 05

    Step 5: Planting

Plants go in during the spring or fall window, set out to the schedule on the plan.

  6. 06

    Step 6: Handover and care

We walk the finished garden with you, write down the watering plan and visit through the first season.

Questions

About the work

Do you take small jobs?

We take projects where a plan makes a difference: a terrace, a wall, a whole border. If a job needs only maintenance, we will say so and suggest someone else.

Can you build in stages?

Yes. The plan covers the whole site, and we build it in phases that match your budget and the seasons, so each stage sits right with the next.

Do you use native plants?

Where they suit the site. The planting schedule lists each plant, why it is there and how much light and water it needs.
